Small groups provide opportunities for members to enrich relationships, grow personally, gain new friends, create a sense of belonging and experience the intimacy of a redemptive community. Groups also provide a warm, friendly, safe entry point for new members, seekers and the unchurched/inactive.
Small Groups at Ascension:
Prayer group - Sunday mornings at 8:30 am
Sunday School classes meet at 9:15 am
The Lunch Bunch - Sundays after worship service
Men in Mission - third Sunday of each month at 6:30 pm
Kaffe Klatsch - every Monday at 9 am
Church Council - second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm
Dominoes/Mah Jong - Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am
Choir - Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm
SEEDs - luncheons on second Wednesday of month at 1 pm
Book Club - Saturday mornings at 10 am
Committees - praying and working hard together
Christ Care Groups - 4 groups for social events, prayers at worship, calling
All groups at Ascension are open to share with visitors and welcome new members
And there are probably more. Pretty good for a small family congregation.
